High efficiency module’s production

JA SOLAR sign an agreement with Qujing governments (Yunnan province) for the IV phase of the construction of its new production site for high-efficiency cells and modules.

The construction should start at the beginning of May 2023 and the starting production is set to be in Mai 2024. The manufacturer’s is thus adding a capacity of 10 GW cells and 5 GW modules.

Qujing city intends to become the “Photovoltaic capital of the world” by reaching a production capacity of 200,000 MT of polysilicon, 150 GW of monocrystalline silicon ingots, 87 GW of cells, 50 GW of modules and 3 million MT of photovoltaic glass by 2024.

GCLS system Integration Technology Co. (GCLSI), reveals its intention of  investing 2 billion yuan in a new 12 GW high efficiency PV module production project in FuNing, in the Jiangsu province, in China.

The new industrial site will start to produce by the end of October 2023. The manufacturer hopes to increase its market share and reinforce its leader position in the PV industry.

Jinko second shipping manufacturer worldwide

In 2022, Jinko has shipped 44 GW of PV modules including 10 GW of N-Type modules. The manufacturer thereby establishes its leading position on the N-Type market, having supplied almost 25% of the market volume.

N-Type is still the manufacturer’s priority in 2023.

In an interview with PV Tech, Samuel Zhang, Astronergy’s CEO makes an assessment of the past year and tell its 2023’s prospects.

Last year the manufacturer delivered 13,5 GW modules across the world. This year, Astronergy  wish to reach a PV module production capacity of 49 GW and states that it will focus its efforts on 182 mm N TypeTOPCon cells with the addition of 30 GW of new modules and cells capacity.
